About Us
Landmark Christian Academy is a ministry designed to help homeschoolers with their records keeping tasks and provide limited academic support. It is our desire to make your homeschooling experience as easy as possible. LCA is available to students in grades from first through twelfth and is able to provide record keeping assistance to parents through a fully accredited program. Report cards are provided twice a year and an achievement test once a year to students.
Landmark Christian Academy is able to provide limited academic support to parents while keeping costs to a minimum. Keeping costs low is a priority for us as is providing quality services. LCA provides a plan to guide high school students in taking courses necessary for graduation. High school students have transcripts maintained and receive a full high school diploma upon completion of all requirements. We also provide an optional graduation ceremony at our facilities once each year.
Accreditation
Parents want to know if a school will meet the educational, safety, emotional, and spiritual needs of their children. Accrediting agencies can help verify that schools will meet these needs. It is important that the accrediting agency understands the basic philosophy and uniqueness of an individual school. Landmark Christian Academy is National Association of Private Schools (NAPS) Accredited. We have chosen to be accredited through NAPS since they understand our program and our educational philosophy.
Record Keeping
Landmark Christian Academy provides report cards twice a year for students in grades 1-12. The annual achievement test is sent out along with the first semester report card. The second semester report card includes the grades for the whole school year. High school students enrolled in LCA will have transcripts maintained throughout their high school years. Official transcripts can be used to enter college, transfer to another school, join the military, apply for a job, or any other typical use for a transcript. Students who complete the high school requirements through LCA will receive a full high school diploma. This diploma is based on the requirements from the state of Florida plus any additional requirements for the student’s state of residence.
Annual Achievement Testing
Annual achievement testing is provided to Landmark Christian Academy students in grades 1-11 as part of the annual academy fee. This test is administered by the parent and graded by certified scorers. This allows parents to test their students at home while maintaining the integrity of the scores. Achievement test scores are maintained in the student’s cumulative file.

Costs
Landmark Christian Academy is extremely economical, charging only an annual fee for the normal six subjects for each student. This helps you by eliminating costly program fees such as registration and matriculation fees, per subject fees, records keeping fees, etc. The annual fee also makes financial records keeping simpler for us, allowing us to keep our costs low.

Course Plan
LCA uses Landmark’s Freedom Baptist Curriculum as its sole curriculum provider.
Elementary
Our elementary students take one of each of our 6 core subjects each year. The 6 core subjects are as follows: Bible, English, History, Literature, Mathematics, and Science.
High School
Our high school students are required to meet the state of Florida’s requirements plus any additional courses dictated by the student’s state of residence. A minimum of 24 credits is required.
Graduation
Upon completion of all requirements, a student will be graduated from Landmark Christian Academy. Students must complete at least one year (6 credits) with the Academy in order to be graduated. Graduates will receive a diploma, a hard-back diploma cover, and a tassel. Additionally, our graduates are invited to take part in our graduation ceremony at Landmark Baptist Church in Haines City, Florida. Arrangements and fees are to be made with the Academy office. Please let us know at least 3 months in advance if you plan to participate.
